Jose Reyes doubled off the left-center field wall in his third at-bat leading off the sixth inning on Monday afternoon for Class A Brooklyn.
Reyes grounded out to second in his second at-bat, but busted it hard out of the box, and his left hamstring appears to be doing just fine. The 28-year-old lined out to center in his first at-bat leading off the game. He also has cleanly fielded his only chance at shortstop.

Reyes is slated to play no more than seven innings for the Cyclones, according to a Mets spokesman. But before the game in the dugout, Reyes said, "It's really hot out!" signaling that he may be done well before that.
The Mets want to see how Reyes' left hamstring responds before activating him. If he makes it out of Monday afternoon's game without any setbacks, he should rejoin the Mets on Tuesday night when they take on the St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field.
