Johan Santana will remain with the Mets in New York to rest his fatigued left shoulder, and will be re-evaluated at the end of the homestand, GM Sandy Alderson said Friday before the Mets' game against the Atlanta Braves.
He has been diagnosed with fatigue in his surgically repaired left shoulder and does not have new damage in the area, the team announced Thursday, when he was examined at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan after complaining of discomfort in his shoulder earlier this week.
Santana said on Friday that his shoulder 'feels good' and he tweaked it during long-toss after his minor-league rehab start last Thursday. Click here for the full news story.
