Mike Pelfrey exited Saturday’s game in the fifth inning after a line drive off Gerardo Parra’s bat struck him near the right elbow.

Manager Terry Collins and the training staff met with Pelfrey on the mound before he left the game. Swelling was visible near his throwing elbow. The Mets lead 4-2 over the Diamondbacks with no outs in the fifth.

D.J. Carrasco replaced Pelfrey.
