DAYTONA 10, ST. LUCIE 4: St. Lucie trails two games to none in its Florida State League championship series. Starter Scott Moviel allowed four runs (two earned) in three innings. Estarlin Morel allowed five runs (four earned) in two innings, including a pair of seventh-inning homers as the Cubs built a 10-1 lead. Box

SAVANNAH 3, AUGUSTA 1: The Sand Gnats claimed the Southern Division championship series two games to one. Savannah advances to the best-of-five game South Atlantic League championship series against the Northern Division champion Greensboro Grasshoppers. Greensboro will host Games 1 and 2, Monday and Tuesday nights. The Gnats will host Game 3 Thursday. If necessary, Game 4 will be in Savannah Friday and Game 5 will be next Saturday. In the winner-take-all game that eliminated Augusta, Gnats starter Erik Goeddel fired five scoreless innings to earn the win. Goeddel yielded three hits and three walks while fanning four batters. All but one of the outs he recorded was a strikeout, groundout or infield popout. Darrell Ceciliani reached base three times to lead the Gnats at the plate. Ceciliani was 6-for-7 with a walk in the final two games of the series and finished the three-game series at 6-for-11 with a triple and two runs scored. The Gnats built a 3-0 lead against Augusta starter Taylor Rogers through four innings. Ceciliani led off the first by lacing a triple up the right-center field gap. He scored on Wilfredo Tovar's sacrifice fly for a 1-0 Savannah lead. The Gnats made it 2-0 in the second when Aderlin Rodriguez doubled and scored on Alonzo Harris' RBI groundout. Savannah added an unearned run in the fourth inning that was set up by a Rodriguez walk and a single from Joe Bonfe. Bonfe eventually scored on a Ceciliani chopper on the right side that GreenJackets first baseman Joel Weeks could not handle. Ryan Fraser relieved Goeddel to begin the sixth inning. Fraser retired all six men to face him. With three left-handers at the top of the Augusta batting order, the Gnats then turned to left-hander Brandon Sage. He yielded a leadoff single to Bobby Haney, who advanced to second on a passed ball and eventually scored on an RBI single by Adam Duvall off Ronny Morla. Morla worked a 1-2-3 ninth with a strikeout and two groundouts to pick up his first save of the postseason and send the Gnats to the SAL Championship Series. Box

STATEN ISLAND 1, BROOKLYN 0: The Cyclones were eliminated in a winner-take-all Game 3 in the semifinals. The lone run scored in the seventh inning as T.J. Chism allowed a one-out double to Tyler Austin, followed by a triple by Reymond Nunez. Brooklyn starter Carlos Vazquez had tossed six scoreless innings, limiting the Baby Bombers to two hits and a walk while striking out six. Box
