For the second straight year, the Mets have made a change in their minor league pitching coordinator.

Rick Tomlin, who succeeded Rick Waits in that role, also has been ousted, two organization sources said.

Tomlin had spent the previous two seasons as the pitching coach with the Brooklyn Cyclones and also was a former pitching coordinator for the Yankees.
Adam Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He's a graduate of Mepham High School on Long Island and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined ESPNNewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
