Jose Reyes homered for the first time since May 7, 2009 and made a leaping catch of a line drive to close out the Mets' 5-0 win against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. He had gone 218 at-bats between long balls. Reyes is hitting .300 and has scored nine runs since returning to the leadoff spot on May 15.
Adam Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He's a graduate of Mepham High School on Long Island and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined ESPNNewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
