The Mets are among four teams "keeping tabs" on left-hander Jeff Francis, ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick reports. The Mariners, Blue Jays and Reds also have interest.

Francis, 31, went 6-16 with a 4.82 ERA in 31 starts for the Kansas City Royals last season.
Adam Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He's a graduate of Mepham High School on Long Island and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined ESPNNewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
