Mets to watch Kazmir on Friday

Sandy Alderson said via Twitter that the Mets will watch free-agent left-hander Scott Kazmir throw on Friday.

"We have an open mind but a spot on the major league staff right away is not realistic," Alderson said.

Buster Olney reports the Mets are one of six finalists for Kazmir's services.
