BUFFALO 4, NEW ORLEANS 4: The Bisons tied Miami's Triple-A affiliate in a game called after nine and a half innings. Right-hander Matt Harvey started for the Bisons and allowed three earned runs over six innings. The 23-year-old was the Mets' first-round selection in the 2010 draft and enters the 2012 season as New York’s No. 2 prospect, according to Baseball America. Last season, Harvey was a combined 13-5 in 26 starts between Class A St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton. Catcher Jean Luc Blaquiere hit a two-run homer for the Bisons, while infielder Allan Dykstra was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Infielders Zach Lutz and Valentino Pascucci both went 1-for-3.

JACKSONVILLE 8, BINGHAMTON 3: The B-Mets pounded out 10 hits, including three from Darrell Ceciliani, but could not stop the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Gonzalez Germen, a 25-year-old native of the Dominican Republic, made the start for the B-Mets and racked up five strikeouts. Germen went 7-7 with a 3.93 ERA in 21 starts with low-A Savannah last year. Germen got the hook in the bottom of the third inning with two runners aboard. Right-hander Taylor Whitenton took over and allowed a three-run homer, giving the Suns the lead for good. Ceciliani led the way at the plate with a 3-for-5 day. He finished a homer shy of the cycle, the third time that has happened for a B-Met this spring. Fellow outfielder Cory Vaughn kept his hot start going with his second home run of the spring. The B-Mets hit the road Wednesday to take on the Springfield Cardinals in Jupiter, Fla.
