COLUMBUS 9, BUFFALO 1: Matt Harvey gave up three runs in four innings and was tagged with the loss as the Bisons fell to the Clippers, 9-1, on Friday night in Columbus. Harvey (5-2) allowed seven hits, walked two and struck out three; his ERA rose to 3.88. Buffalo mustered just six hits and went 0-for-5 with RISP. Corey Wimberly had two hits, including a double, and drove in the Bisons’ lone run. Ezequiel Carrera, Cord Phelps and Jared Goedert all homered for the Clippers, while Tim Fedroff had three hits. Box
BINGHAMTON 9, TRENTON 7: Matt den Dekker went 5-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored, leading the Mets to a 9-7 victory over the Thunder on Friday night in Trenton. Den Dekker is hitting a team-high .336, good for second in the Eastern League. Jefry Marte and Eric Campbell added three hits apiece; Marte hit his fifth homer of the year in the fifth inning and drove in four. Binghamton scored seven runs off Trenton starter Adam Miller. Mets starter Gonzalez Germen (2-4) got the win, allowing just two runs on five hits in seven innings. He walked none and struck out six. Ryan Fraser and Robert Carson combined to give up five runs out of the bullpen. "I've been seeing the ball well lately and it carried over into tonight," den Dekker. "It was a good game tonight. It's crazy. I don't think even in college I had [a five-hit game] and I know I have two [in pro ball]. It's a good feeling, but I have to come back tomorrow and get ready for another one." Box
