Turner to begin rehab assignment Thursday

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Justin Turner will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, GM Sandy Alderson said.

Turner has been on the disabled list since May 29 with a right ankle sprain and ligament damage in the foot.

Also on the injury front, Ruben Tejada (quadriceps) faced pitching Wednesday in Port St. Lucie.
