Ronny Cedeño may return from the DL midweek, while Ruben Tejada could begin a rehab assignment Monday.
Ronny Cedeño is due to play shortstop for a second straight game with Triple-A Buffalo on Friday night, and Terry Collins is eyeing the middle of the week -- potentially Wednesday when the Mets face Baltimore left-hander Brian Matusz -- for Cedeño's activation from the disabled list.

Cedeño has been on the DL since May 27 with a left calf strain.

Ruben Tejada (quadriceps), meanwhile, is further away from a return. Collins said Tejada rain in a straight line Friday in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The hope is to have Tejada begin a rehab assignment Monday. Tejada's last attempt to play for Triple-A Buffalo was abandoned when he felt an issue with the quadriceps and pulled himself from a June 5 game.
