The Mets have announced a special ticket promotion for this weekend's Subway Series -- and it's related to the oppressive heat that arrived in the Big Apple on Wednesday.

The temperature at Citi Field at the start of Wednesday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles was 94 degrees. So the Mets are putting a limited number of field-level seats on sale for both Friday and Sunday night's games against the Yankees, priced at $94.

That will get you left-field reserved seats on Friday (normally priced at $115), and field-box seats on Sunday (normally priced at $136).
