Ronny Cedeño is back and starting at shortstop Friday as the Mets open an interleague series against the Yankees. The Mets demoted Elvin Ramirez to clear the roster spot and will use six relievers.

Daniel Murphy sits for the third time in four games.

Meanwhile, Frank Francisco said his teammates greeted him with the "Chicken Dance" when he arrived at the ballpark. Francisco said he didn't realize the stir he created until he saw the Post cover at Citi Field, with Derek Jeter's head placed on a chicken body. The closer did say the "chicken" reference was because the Yankees complain too much in his view.
