LOS ANGELES -- Right-hander Jenrry Mejia will continue working as a reliever with Triple-A Buffalo, Terry Collins told ESPNNewYork.com on Thursday.

Since shifting to bullpen work June 15 with the Bisons, Mejia has surrendered nine runs (eight earned) on 11 hits, five walks and a hit batter in five innings spanning six appearances.

That prompted Collins to suggest in Chicago this week that Mejia might temporarily move back to a starting role in order to try to get him in a routine and straighten him out -- even though Mejia projects as a reliever at the major league level. For now, though, Mejia will remain working in relief in the minors.
