LOS ANGELES -- Sandy Alderson, whose Twitter account @MetsGM had been tweet-free since April 12, awoke during Sunday's game. Reacting to Pablo Sandoval beating David Wright in fan balloting for the July 10 All-Star Game in Kansas City, Alderson tweeted:

Wright vs. Sandoval: A city of 8 million was outvoted by a city of 800,000.

That's not Alderson's first tweet with a San Francisco Giants theme. In the early days of his account, while joking about needing gas money for the trip to spring training, Alderson tweeted, alluding to acquiring top prospect Zack Wheeler for Carlos Beltran:

Prepping for trip. Bought 4 like-new tires at chop shop across from Citi. He threw in free wiper fluid. Better than the Wheeler deal!
