Dickey gets NL honor

First-time All-Star R.A. Dickey has been named NL pitcher of the month for June.

Dickey took a scoreless streak to 42 2/3 innings during the month. He went 5-0 with a 0.93 ERA and 55 strikeouts in six starts. He became the first major leaguer since Toronto's Dave Stieb in 1988 to toss consecutive one-hitters.
Adam Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He's a graduate of Mepham High School on Long Island and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined ESPNNewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
