Terry Collins confirmed Johan Santana should start the second-half opener in Atlanta on Friday, followed by R.A. Dickey in Game 2 against the Braves.

Collins said he was unsure whether Jon Niese or Dillon Gee would handle the series finale in Atlanta. The other will handle the opener of the second series at Washington, followed by Chris Young in the fifth game of the second half.

The plan is contingent upon two factors: Dickey's All-Star Game usage and Santana's right-ankle health.

Collins described Santana's ankle, which the southpaw twisted Friday, as "a little tender today."

In order to stay sharp during the break -- and a week between starts -- Santana likely will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, the day of the All-Star Game. Dickey, incidentally, will be available out of the bullpen today, according to Collins.
