Frank Francisco may appear in his first minor league rehab game Wednesday, Terry Collins said.

Francisco threw off a mound Saturday in Port St. Lucie, Fla., for the first time since straining his left oblique. He likely will throw once more off a mound before advancing to the rehab game.

Meanwhile, Andres Torres' back injury has not improved -- "not much" anyway, according to Collins. With one day remaining before the All-Star break, the Mets appear content to ride out the half with Kirk Nieuwenhuis playing and Torres active but unavailable.
