R.A. makes final pitch to be All-Star starter

R.A. Dickey said it "logically" would benefit his batterymate in the All-Star Game if he was to be named the National League starting pitcher. That way, the knuckleballer noted, catcher Buster Posey could have plenty of extra time to get acclimated to the pitch.

Terry Collins, David Wright and Dickey were headed by charter to Kansas City after Sunday's 7-0 loss to the Cubs.
