ATLANTA -- For the first time since saving Johan Santana's no-hitter with a catch off Yadier Molina's bat in the seventh inning on June 1, Mike Baxter returned to game action Sunday.
Baxter -- who had suffered a displaced right collarbone crashing into the left field wall at Citi Field -- went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs while serving as DH for Class A St. Lucie at Digital Domain Park against Brevard County. He also was hit by a pitch.
Because of Baxter's prolonged absence, Terry Collins estimated he will need 25 or 30 minor league at-bats on a rehab assignment before being activated from the disabled list.
