With the bullpen having logged 12 innings in a two-day span, the Mets will promote Elvin Ramirez before Sunday's series finale.

Ramirez has made 21 relief appearances for Triple-A Buffalo. He is 3-0 with a 2.28 ERA and one save.

The Mets did not announce the corresponding move. The casualty could be Miguel Batista or the demotion of Kirk Nieuwenhuis.
