PHOENIX -- Not so fast on Frank Francisco returning for Monday's series opener against the San Francisco Giants.

Francisco, due to work a second straight day during his rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton on Saturday night, did not appear in the Eastern League game.

Afterward, Francisco told Lynn Worthy of the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin that he had soreness on his left side. The closer told Worthy he hopes to pitch for the B-Mets on Sunday. But it was a left oblique strain that sent Francisco to the DL, so this is a clear red flag.
