Wheeler promoted to Buffalo

SAN FRANCISCO -- Highly regarded pitching prospect Zack Wheeler has been promoted to Triple-A Buffalo. He is scheduled to start Sunday for the Bisons against Syracuse, confirming Monday's ESPNNewYork.com report.

Wheeler, 22, went 10-6 with a 3.26 ERA in 19 starts with Double-A Binghamton. He allowed 92 hits, 43 walks and two homers while hitting 11 and striking out 117 in 116 innings.
