SAN FRANCISCO -- Frank Francisco worked a second straight day for Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday, tossing a scoreless inning despite allowing a one-out double. The ensuing batter reached on an error by first baseman Allan Dykstra, but Francisco then coaxed an inning-ending double play.

Sandy Alderson said he expected Francisco in San Diego on Friday.

Francisco has been on the DL since June 23 with a strained left oblique.
