SYRACUSE 2, BUFFALO 0: Carlos Rivero homered in the seventh inning against Garrett Olson to break a scoreless tie and make the southpaw a tough-luck loser. Olson allowed only one other hit -- a game-opening single by Eury Perez -- and a walk in seven innings, but was outpitched by Yunesky Maya. Maya limited the Bisons to two hits and two walks in 7 2/3 innings. Robert Carson allowed a ninth-inning run. Josh Rodriguez and Josh Satin had Buffalo's only two hits. Box

BINGHAMTON 4, HARRISBURG 3 (12 innings): Dustin Martin rolled a walk-off single through the hole on the right side to give Binghamton a 12-inning victory. Martin’s hit, Binghamton’s 15th, ended a four-hour, seven-minute contest that saw the teams combine to strand 28 runners. With the game 3, reliever Jimmy Barthmaier issued a one-out walk to Raul Reyes. Sean Kazmar ended the righty’s night and pushed the eventual winning run to second with a single. Southpaw Patrick McCoy entered to face Martin, who fell behind 0-2 before rolling the next pitch weakly to the right side. The grounder evaded first baseman Justin Bloxom and second baseman Jonathan Tucker and rolled into right field untouched. Reyes scored from second to give Binghamton their fourth walk-off win this season. The game was marred my missed opportunities by both teams. The Senators went 0-for-15 with runners in scoring position and stranded 14 runners, including runners at third in the 10th and 11th innings. Binghamton did not fare much better, leaving 14 aboard. B-Mets starter Cory Mazzoni matched a season-high with 10 hits allowed, but battled through seven innings. He surrendered three runs (two earned) and struck out four. The B-Mets bullpen combined for five scoreless innings. Brad Holt and C.J. Nitkowski kept the Senators off the board in the eighth and ninth. Ryan Fraser stranded two runners while blanking Harrisburg in the 10th and 11th. Adam Kolarek (1-0) worked around a leadoff walk in the 12th to post a scoreless frame. CLEARWATER 5, ST. LUCIE 2: Jack Leathersich surrendered a tiebreaking three-run homer to Jim Murphy in the eighth. Starter Angel Cuan allowed two unearned runs in six innings. Clearwater's two-run third began with a throwing error by third baseman Aderlin Rodriguez. St. Lucie had evened the score in the fifth on an RBI single by Alonzo Harris Jr. Box

GREENSBORO 5, SAVANNAH 2: The Grasshoppers used a four-run fifth to earn a split of the four-game series. Rain delayed the start of the game by 80 minutes. The Gnats then opened the scoring in the third thanks to singles from Charley Thurber and Matt Reynolds and an RBI single by Gilbert Gomez. Starter Jimmy Fuller made the 1-0 lead hold up until the fifth, when the Grasshoppers took a 4-1 lead. With two outs and the bases empty, six straight Hoppers reached safely. Ryan Goetz plated the first Greensboro run with a single. Fuller then walked consecutive batters to force in the go-ahead run. Reliever Randy Fontanez entered with the bases loaded, and Josh Adams greeted him by lining a single for a three-run advantage. All four runs in the inning were charged to Fuller (3-4). Box
