Olson out for Santana

The Mets designated left-hander Garrett Olson for assignment to clear the roster spot for Johan Santana's activation from the DL.

The move leaves Josh Edgin as the lone southpaw in the bullpen, although Olson wasn't considered a lefty specialist anyway.

Olson was charged with four runs while recording only one out in his lone appearance.
