WASHINGTON -- The Mets, along with other teams in the NL East, will line up to face the AL Central in 2013, a baseball source told ESPNNewYork.com.

While not official, an insider believed the Mets would host the Tigers, Royals and White Sox in 2013 while traveling to Minnesota and Cleveland. There also is the annual home-and-home series with the Yankees, which is expected to be reduced to two games in each borough.

The Mets haven't faced the White Sox since 2002 -- their longest drought against any AL team.
