PHILADELPHIA -- In three games since returning from Triple-A Buffalo, Lucas Duda is now 5-for-12 with three RBIs. His two-run homer in the third inning against Tyler Cloyd, whom he faced in the minors earlier this month, proved the difference in the Mets' 3-2 win Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies.

"Good for him, and good for us," Terry Collins summarized about Duda's homer.

Duda stole his second base as a major leaguer. His other swipe came on April 10, 2011.

He also ranged to his left and had a solid catch on Ryan Howard's liner to end the fifth inning and strand two runners for Matt Harvey.

"He can play left field," Collins said. "He's comfortable in left field. I thought it was a nice play for him. And the more he's out there, the better he's going to feel. It makes the catch a little easier when you know you're swinging the bat better. That always helps."

Said Duda: "That was just a play I should have made, and I did. It was not anything spectacular. It was a play that needs to be made."
