Collin McHugh makes his second major league start. He became only the fifth major league player since 1900 to toss seven-plus scoreless innings and allow two or fewer hits while striking out at least nine in a debut. McHugh joined Elmer Myers (1915 Philadelphia A's), Juan Marchial (1960 Giants), Steve Woodward (1997 Brewers) and Kazuhisa Ishii (2002 Dodgers), according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Kelly Shoppach starts against the right-handed Kelly. With the Mets facing left-hander Jaime Garcia on Tuesday and Shoppach again likely to start, it's clear he is the primary catcher at this point.
