HUDSON VALLEY 8, BROOKLYN 1: Hudson Valley will host a winner-take-all Game 3 on Monday at 6:05 p.m. in the first round of the New York-Penn League playoffs. Brooklyn's lone run came on a fifth-inning solo homer by Euda Pina. Starter Luis Mateo allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks in five innings. Reliever Logan Taylor was charged with three runs while recording only two outs. Matt Koch allowed another two runs in the eighth. Pina and Dimas Ponce had two hits apiece for the Cyclones in the loss. Box
