Frank Francisco will not be available to close on Wednesday night if the Mets are leading late.

Francisco, who last appeared Sunday in Milwaukee, underwent an MRI on his right elbow. Terry Collins said the closer's issue is limited to tendinitis.

Francisco actually had not been available for the series opener against the Phillies on Monday, but the Mets did not have a save opportunity.
