The Mets will be facing postseason elimination on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. With St. Louis' afternoon win against Houston, the Mets' tragic number has been sliced to one. The Mets already have secured their fourth straight losing season by picking up defeat No. 82 on Wednesday night.
