The Mets have sent a marketing survey to select fans gauging how much more likely they would be to attend a 2013 game if a giveaway was part of the offering. The survey then attempts to determine which giveaways would be most attractive among the following items:
Backpack
Bobblehead
Cap
Coasters
Collectible cup
Drawstring bag
Fleece blanket
Key chain
License plate frame
Magnetic schedule
Mini bat
Mini glove
Mousepad
Parking sign
Pennant
Picture frame
Pins
Puzzle
Sleeved blanket
Sunglasses
T-shirt
Texting gloves
Tote bag
Toy subway cars
Travel case
Travel mug
Visor
Wiffleball and Bat Set
Wristband
(The pennant sounds appealing, but it's referring to a flag, not the NL championship.)
The survey additionally asks for suggestions for 2013 concert groups as well as which current and former Mets would be most attractive as part of a series of five bobblehead giveaways.
The Mets drew 2,242,803 fans at Citi Field this season, which ranked 11th in the National League. That marked a 4.7 percent decline from 2011.
