The Mets had the fifth-worst fielding in the majors last season, according to John Dewan and Ben Jedlovec of The Fielding Bible.

The fewest defensive runs saved rankings:

30. Colorado Rockies -87
29. Houston Astros -66
28. Miami Marlins -47
27. Cleveland Indians -43
26. New York Mets -42

The five best fielding teams in the majors:

1. Toronto Blue Jays 70
1. Atlanta Braves 70
3. Los Angeles Angels 55
4. Boston Red Sox 50
5. Cincinnati Reds 38
