Mets invite Aaron Laffey to camp

The Mets announced Thursday that they have invited lefthander Aaron Laffey to major league camp.

Laffey, 27, was signed to a minor league contract. He split time with the Blue Jays and Triple-A Las Vegas in 2012, going 4-6, 4.56 in 22 games (16 starts) with the big club.

He is 25-29, 4.38 in 148 games (65 starts) with the Indians, Mariners, Yankees and Blue Jays. Laffey was 2-1, 3.38 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Yankees in 2011.
