Projected left fielder Lucas Duda, who underwent Nov. 5 surgery to repair a fractured right wrist, has started hitting off a tee in his native California.

"It's going well, feels great," Duda told ESPNNewYork.com on Sunday.

Duda expects no difficulties with the wrist during spring training.

He plans to travel to Port St. Lucie, Fla., this week to begin training at the Mets' complex with hitting coach Dave Hudgens. Mets position players are not officially asked to report until Feb. 16.
