PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- With top bowler Tim Byrdak on the shelf following shoulder surgery, the Mets' first weekly bowling night of 2013 spring training had a new top bowler.

Right-hander Cory Mazzoni, a second-round pick out of NC State in 2011, bowled 216 in his highest game.

Justin Turner had a 199 after going strike, strike, eight in the 10th frame.

"Would have been the first 200 game of my life," Turner said.

David Wright was disappointed by his 160ish average Sunday night.

Ike Davis would not comment on his score, just saying: "Not very good."

Mazzoni, by the way, went a combined 10-6 with a 3.93 ERA in 26 starts between Class A St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton in 2012.
