PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Bobby Parnell is going to end up being the closer to open the season.

Frank Francisco, who arrived at camp with elbow inflammation, is not scheduled to be on a mound for another 10 to 12 days, Terry Collins said. As a result, the manager acknowledged, Francisco likely is ticketed for the disabled list.

Francisco is due to make $6.5 million this season.
