Wright nets 2 hits, RBI in tune-up vs. Rocks

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- David Wright went 2-for-4 with an RBI and played five innings at third base in Team USA's exhibition against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night in Arizona.

Facing right-hander Edgmer Escalona with two outs and Brandon Phillips in scoring position, Wright opened the game's scoring with an RBI single in the third.

Wright was replaced by Ben Zobrist at third base for the bottom of the sixth.

Team USA opens World Baseball Classic play on Friday night against Mexico at Chase Field, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
