LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- For the first time this spring training, Daniel Murphy is playing in a game Friday.

Murphy is manning second base in a minor league game this afternoon back in Port St. Lucie. He is not batting -- only playing in the field.

Murphy suffered a strained intercostal muscle on his right side early in camp. He received a cortisone shot Feb. 19.
