Next stop: Subway Series.

The Yankees and Mets begin the Subway Series today, playing the first two games at Citi Field before heading to Yankee Stadium for the final two.

The Mets enter the matchup off a win as they rallied to beat the Braves 4-2 on Sunday night. Ike Davis had the go-ahead two-RBI single in the eighth.

• Davis' big knock may have saved him from a demotion to Triple-A Las Vegas. Davis now has three hits in his last five at-bats after just recording one in his previous 42. Mets GM Sandy Alderson talked about the possibility of Davis going to Triple-A prior to Sunday's game. Read more in the Star-Ledger.

Shaun Marcum pitched quite well Sunday night, giving up just two runs while striking out a career-best 12 batters. He recorded a no-decision.

• While Ike Davis has been the focus, Ruben Tejada is also struggling.

• The Mets are dealing with frustration as the losses have piled up this season.

• In the Daily News, Anthony McCarron writes that the Yankees have fared better at finding bargains than the Mets, despite the Mets needing to fare better in that category.

• In the Post, George Willis writes about how the Mets are still second to the Yankees, despite the Yankees being crushed with injuries this season.

• In Newsday, David Lennon writes that the Subway Series is looking like a mismatch.

• In the New York Times, David Waldstein writes that the Mets and Yankees are in familiar positions heading into the four-game set.

• The Daily News analyzes the position matchups for the Subway Series. The Post gives storylines to watch.
