MIAMI -- Terry Collins reiterated Saturday that he expects Jonathon Niese to reenter the rotation next Friday at Citi Field against the Miami Marlins, after missing only today's turn at Marlins Park.

The manager suggested Niese's shoulder tendinitis is feeling better with inactivity. The Mets will not know with greater clarity about Niese's availability for his next start until Niese throws a bullpen session Tuesday in D.C.

Collin McHugh takes Niese's turn this afternoon against the Marlins.
