WASHINGTON -- Stephen Strasburg will be pushed back and not face the Mets on Thursday, the Washington Nationals announced. Gio Gonzalez, pitching on regular rest, instead will oppose Shaun Marcum in the series finale.

Strasburg was forced from his last start after two innings with a strained lat muscle.
