MILWAUKEE -- The crash landing of an Asiana Airlines plane at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday that resulted in the deaths of two Chinese teenagers likely will force the Mets to land elsewhere late tonight.

A team official said there was a "strong chance" the Mets' chartered flight instead would land in nearby Oakland, although there was not yet a firm resolution.

The Mets are traveling from Milwaukee to San Francisco after completing Sunday's series finale against the Brewers.
