MIAMI -- Bobby Parnell may be unavailable for a second straight day because of neck stiffness, Terry Collins said.

The issue has bothered Parnell for a few days. In fact, when Parnell warmed up to enter Tuesday's game, there was uncertainty about whether the closer would feel good enough to enter the game. Parnell did end up pitching that day and earned his 22nd save.

Collins said LaTroy Hawkins or David Aardsma would close Thursday if Parnell turns out to be unavailable.
