MIAMI -- Jonathon Niese tossed four scoreless innings in a rehab start with Class A St. Lucie on Thursday night, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out four.

Niese, who is returning from a partial tear of the rotator cuff in his left shoulder, recently indicated he would need one additional rehab start before rejoining the Mets.
