LOS ANGELES -- Closer Bobby Parnell was deemed to be making "good progress" in rebounding from a herniated disk in his neck. Parnell had received an epidural injection on Aug. 5.
Parnell recently was reevaluated by team doctors. He remains idle, though.
LaTroy Hawkins primarily has handled the closing duties in Parnell's absence.
