Cory Wade has joined Triple-A Las Vegas.
WASHINGTON -- Thin in relief help at Triple-A Las Vegas, the Mets have signed ex-Yankee Cory Wade.
Wade, 30, went a combined 4-3 with a 3.56 ERA in 40 appearances (five starts) in Triple-A for the Chicago Cubs and Tampa Bay Rays affiliates this season. In 65 2/3 innings, he allowed 69 hits and 21 walks while striking out 49.
The right-hander made a combined 79 relief appearances with the Yankees in 2011 and '12, producing a 4.23 ERA. He also has 82 career appearances with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Wade joined the 51s on Saturday.
