ATLANTA -- Atlanta Braves right fielder Jason Heyward, who fractured his jaw in two places when he was struck by a fastball from Jonathon Niese in New York on Aug. 21, has started limited baseball activities.
Heyward is now hitting off a tee and playing catch. He will use a helmet with a plastic guard to protect his jaw, according to Braves reporters.
Niese said he has not spoken with Heyward.
